Zero tolerance for corruption and bribery
Policy Statement
Nepal Corporate Association maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of corruption, bribery, and fraud. This policy applies to all members, employees, volunteers, and partners working with or on behalf of NCA.
Prohibited Activities
The following activities are strictly prohibited:
- Offering, giving, soliciting, or accepting bribes in any form
- Making facilitation payments to expedite routine government actions
- Engaging in any form of fraud, embezzlement, or misappropriation
- Using organizational position for personal gain
- Falsifying records or financial statements
- Engaging in money laundering or terrorist financing activities
Gifts and Hospitality
Gifts and hospitality must be reasonable, appropriate, and transparent. Any gift or hospitality that could influence or appear to influence decision-making must be declined and reported.
Due Diligence
NCA conducts appropriate due diligence on all partners, vendors, and third parties before entering into relationships. This includes verifying their reputation and commitment to ethical practices.
Reporting
Anyone who suspects or witnesses corruption should report it immediately through our confidential reporting channel at anticorruption@nca.org.np. Whistleblowers are protected from retaliation.
Consequences
Violations of this policy will result in immediate disciplinary action, which may include termination and legal action. NCA will cooperate fully with law enforcement authorities in corruption cases.
